17 books finished in 2016: Station Eleven

17 books finished in 2016

Confession: too much time has passed since I read this book, so I’m having trouble remembering much.

This book has been one of the most frequently recommended by friends. Perhaps they imagine I’d join a band of traveling entertainers in a post-apocalyptic world? I think that’s a compliment.

But this fell solidly in the beach book, mindlessly entertaining, not particularly challenging or thought-provoking, which is a REALLY GREAT THING TO BE for a book. It just means I don’t have any residual thoughts.

Whether or not I remember much of the plot, I will always think the cover of this book is gorgeous.
