13 books finished in 2014: Holidays on Ice

13 books finished in 2014

I picked this up at the Gordon Ave Book Sale, for 50 cents, and I liked the idea of reading some holiday stories as the weather is heating up. (I couldn’t resist this photo, even though the book is cut off, because I look like I’m wearing a Mrs. Claus costume with that belted red dress.)

Classic David Sedaris – they were a mix of awkward, uncomfortable, and self-depreciating humor. My favorite was about two families competing with each other for the most extravagant displays of wealth, who then turned on each other and started competing to see who could be the most charitable.
