Me Made May 2014

As I’ve discovered more sewing blogs in the past year, I noticed a lot of community themes – bloggers and makers both love a challenge! The most interesting, if somewhat awkwardly named is Me Made May.

This May is going to be slightly bananas for me, but I couldn’t resist the lure of this challenge to wear handmade clothes every day for a month. (I even did a mini-challenge during the winter, to see if I could handle the pressure.)

So, even though I’m late to announce (the official deadline is BEFORE May 1st):

I, Maggie (wwcutie.wordpress.com), sign up as a participant of Me Made May 2014.
I endeavor to wear one me-made garment every day, with no repeats.

Now what?

-I’ve added the MMM14 widget on the sidebar. Which means I’ve changed my blog theme to include a sidebar! How exciting!

-I’ll be taking daily outfit pictures, but I don’t think I’ll be posting them daily on the blog. It’ll probably be a weekly blog update, with maybe-daily-if-I-don’t-think-I’m-spamming-my-friends instagram posts (instagram.com/wwcutie).

For the official rules, you can go to the source and consider signing up late like me!

  1. I definitely intended on participating in this, but I did not sew nearly enough to be able to do so–and it’s soon enough going to be too warm for all my knits! (plus I don’t have a month’s worth of knits.) I’m comforting myself with the idea that if the concept behind the month was to get us wearing things we made, because people often let those garments languish, then I didn’t HAVE to participate, because I wear the things I make with regularity! (However, I hope I’ll have made enough in the coming year to do it next year!!)
