33 books finished in 2013: Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters

33 books finished in 2013

Why are you reading this book?
Halfway through my beach vacation, I’d already finished all FOUR BOOKS I brought with me! (Ridiculous.) So I found a local bookstore – not so easy – and folowed my heart. (Also, this was only $5. WORTH MORE THAN THAT!)

What is the first line?
The family of Dashwood had been settled in Sussex since before the Alteration, when the waters of the world grew cold and hateful to the sons of man, and darkness moved on the face of the deep.

Describe the book in haiku form:
Adding sea monsters;
improving on a classic.
Marianne still bugs.

What will you do with it now?
keep for reference
x keep and loan out to friends x
keep to read again & again & again
post to paperbackswap.com
throw it away

Anything else you’d like to say?
After a string of LA-centric beach books, I needed something a bit more dark. It was a daunting reading this while AT THE BEACH, but I managed, somehow.
