11 books finished in 2013: Whose Body?

11 books finished in 2013

Why are you reading this book?
A friend loaned a few of these mysteries to me, after I read another book by the author.

What is the first line?
“Oh, damn!” said Lord Peter Wimsey at Picadilly Circus.

Describe the book in haiku form:
Lord Peter Wimsey,
pleased to make your acquaintance!
Let’s solve some murders?

What will you do with it now?
keep for reference
x return to my friend (after my housemates have read it as well) x
keep to read again & again & again
post to paperbackswap.com
throw it away

Anything else you’d like to say?
Turns out there are quite a few in the series, and they’re perfect for fun summer reading. Expect to see much more of this guy.

  1. Dorothy Sayers mysteries! Keep reading, keep reading! The two you’ve read are probably my two least favorite, and I still enjoyed them well enough. She got better as she went – especially Gaudy Night.

  2. I’m already through the third (and nearing the end of the fourth) and she definitely seems to be picking up steam and having more fun as they progress. So glad you approve!

  3. My books are famous!! :) It makes me so happy when I see people are reading about Lord Peter. Rebecca is right — Sayers picks up steam, becomes more comfortable with her characters; and Gaudy Night is my favorite as well.
