Why are you reading this book?
How could I NOT read this book!? (My Wendell Berry crush just keeps growing. Expect to see more of him, once I get around to buying another stack of books.)
What is the first line?
“O that I should ever forget…”
Describe the book in haiku form:

Anything else you’d like to say?
This might be my favorite book so far – instead of a novel around one particular character, it’s a collection of stories about many different townspeople. I continue to be awed by how much affection and respect he has for these characters, and by how formative his stories can be.
