Why are you reading this book?
It’s the second in trilogy. And I wanted to continue the bedtime reading.
What is the first line?
(I have no idea. It’s probably written down somewhere, but the book itself is…in a box right now.)
Describe the book in haiku form:
finished weeks ago
the cover was so ugly
kept putting this off
What will you do with it now?
keep for reference
keep and loan out to friends
x keep to read again & again & again x
post to paperbackswap.com
throw it away
Anything else you’d like to say?
The haiku tells a bit about why this project went off the rails – apparently I’m a big snob and when there’s an ugly illustration on the cover of a book, I revolt. We’re going to let this count for book 17 as well, the end of the trilogy, which I probably finished before the end of May. There was a half-baked plan to take small photos of each, pair them together, and make this all sorts of official, but I was never excited enough to complete the plan.
And, as far as I know, I haven’t read anything since. Or, I’ve been reading Les Miserables since then, and since that book is eleventy billion pages we’re going to continue with the lack of photos for a bit longer.
