10 books finished in 2012: A Year in Provence

10 books finished in 2012

Why are you reading this book?
I work for a French department. I went to southern France last year. Someone was discarding this during our move in December, and I couldn’t pass it up.

What is the first line?
The year began with lunch.

Describe the book in haiku form:
A Year in Provence:
renovating an old home,
and worshiping food.

What will you do with it now?
keep for reference
x keep and loan out to friends x
keep to read again & again & again
post to paperbackswap.com
throw it away

Anything else you’d like to say?
While reading this book, I bought no less than four types of cheese. There were many nights that I ate a hunk of cheese with a simple pairing – roasted vegetables…an American take on saucisson…penne coated with brown butter and sautéed mushrooms (what I’m eating in this photo), a large glass of wine… It was a good week.
