This is the first book I’d attempted to read since having double vision. It’s a graphic novel, so I didn’t have to sort out overlapping words.
I’m pretty sure I found this recommended by a blog I follow – in a list of good modern graphic novels. It’s an interesting concept – a young woman’s journal as she’s spending the summer in France after college – and her work is lovely, but I’ve apparently reached a saturation point for existential-post-college-ramblings. (I’ve moved on to existential-still-single-at-thirty-ramblings, right?)
So, basically, my first return to books, after nearly a month away, was a disappointment.
(Finished it a few weeks ago, but was too disinterested to actually blog about it.)
