This graphic novel felt much more like a comic book than the last one. Probably because there was a large amount of fantasy involved in the story – monkey kings, magic, mystery, transformations – and the panels didn’t fill the whole page. I still enjoyed the way the story was conveyed, but this story was much less of an emotional punch. It’s a YA novel, and I think the moral of the story (embrace who you are) was a good one for the audience.
